Ours was the first religious group in St. Augustine to register with Adopt-a-Highway back in 1990. We have contracted to pick up litter along A1A from Pope Road to Cooksey's, with Temple Bet Yam picking up the next mile south. Approximately every three months we offer interested and able members the opportunity to feel good about themselves as they pick up the roadside debris. If enough participate, the task is completed in about an hour. Pickups are done (usually) in September, January, April, and late June.
