LAKE LOUISE
We stayed one night here at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, an over-the-top hotel, with older comfortable rooms, and opulence on top of opulence throughout the building. The view was stunning! It's the starting point for many hiking trails. Be alert for bear!

Guess Dave was just so happy to be out on the lake at dawn!

Nana took a short hike up to the Fairmount Lookout for this photo
The next morning Nana took a longer hike--this is a portion of the way up the trail, by "the Beehive"
This was her destination--Agnes Lake...another terrific mountain high and highlight.
Also the site of a lovely teahouse, where she enjoyed breakfast biscuits and tea. The provisions are brought in by helicopter or on foot.
