Cordless Cradle(pictures)
Instructions for removing the USB cable from the USB cradle this is done at your own risk to your cradle, unit etc. I have a considerable amount of hardware computer skills so this was a simple operation for me... consider your own skill level..although quite honestly...this is not difficult... but I am not going to be responsible for someone jerking the cable connector out of the circuit board and breaking something or letting a piece of metal fall onto the circuit board before closing it causing it to destroy the unit for some reason... As noted----Do this at your own risk!
1. Remove the four small screws(get a small screwdriver from
Radio Shack
if you don't have one that small) from the bottom of the cradle.
2. Remove the bottom plate.
3. Remove the three screws from the inside plate(same size screws).
4. Remove the inside plate.
5. Remove the cable connector from the circuit board connector(this has to be done carefully but firmly...it doesn't come out easily...you may need a small pair of pliers to carefully remove this connector and not damage the circuit board). Also, you can't remove the circuit board from the cradle(there is a small cable connected to the underside of the front of the cradle)...at least I didn't try so you will have to remove the cable connector from the circuit board while it is still connected to the cradle making it a little more difficult.
6. Replace the inside plate.
7. Replace the bottom plate.
8. You got it---A cableless USB cradle for the E-200 - now plug in USB devices anywhere without the cable hanging on to it..
